Most major drivers are “available left-handed” — but not in every loft. A left-handed golfer who needs a 12° head, or wants a particular low-spin version, can find that the right-handed lineup is much deeper than the left-handed one.

For every left-handed driver below, we list exactly which lofts we could confirm in lefty, and which ones are right-handed only. We haven’t tested these drivers ourselves, so we don’t rate them — we focus on what lefties need to know to order the right one. For irons, sets and putters, see our main guide to the best left-handed golf clubs.

Left-handed availability

PING states the G440 K is available left-handed. Retailer listings show new left-handed stock in 9°, 10.5° and 12°. A high-launch G440 K HL version is also offered left-handed. PING makes every G440 driver (MAX, LST, SFT, K) in both hands, though not every loft is confirmed for lefties — the 7.5° LST, for example.

Last checked October 2026.

Why we like it

  • All three mainstream lofts (9°, 10.5°, 12°) available left-handed
  • PING’s most forgiving driver head, per the manufacturer
  • Whole G440 family (MAX, LST, SFT) also made left-handed, so a fitter can compare like-for-like

Important considerations

  • Premium price — one of the more expensive drivers here
  • PING doesn’t publish an MSRP on the product page; retailer prices vary
Check Price — retailer link coming soon Retailer: Retailer link coming soon

Our take

The G440 K stands out for lefties because left-handed stock covers 9°, 10.5° and 12°. PING positions it as its straightest and most forgiving driver, so it’s aimed at golfers who care more about finding the fairway than squeezing out the last few yards.

The rest of the G440 family — MAX, LST and SFT — is also made left-handed, which helps if a fitter wants to compare heads. The trade-off is price: it’s one of the more expensive options here.

Left-handed availability

Callaway’s spec chart lists the standard Elyte in left-handed 9° and 10.5°. The 12° head is right-handed only. The Elyte X (draw-leaning) and Elyte Triple Diamond (lower launch and spin) are also listed left-handed in 9° and 10.5°.

Last checked October 2026.

Why we like it

  • Left-handed in 9° and 10.5° straight from Callaway’s spec chart
  • Same family offers draw-leaning (Elyte X) and lower-spin (Triple Diamond) heads in lefty
  • Widely stocked new, and increasingly available used

Important considerations

  • No left-handed 12° in the standard model — slower swingers may prefer the Elyte MAX Fast
  • Lefty shaft and length options can be narrower than right-handed stock
Check Price — retailer link coming soon Retailer: Retailer link coming soon

Our take

The standard Elyte is the mainstream choice: left-handed in 9° and 10.5°, with draw-leaning (Elyte X) and lower-spin (Triple Diamond) siblings also made in lefty. If 9° or 10.5° suits you, it’s an easy driver to find in left-handed.

Need 12°? The standard Elyte doesn’t come in left-handed 12° — look at the Elyte MAX Fast below.

Left-handed availability

TaylorMade’s spec table lists the core Qi4D in left-handed 9°, 10.5° and 12°; the 8° is right-handed only. Retailers list the forgiving Qi4D Max in left-handed 9°, 10.5° and 12°. The LS and Max Lite are also sold left-handed, but we couldn’t confirm which lofts.

Last checked October 2026.

Why we like it

  • Current-generation model with a full set of mainstream lofts in lefty
  • Family includes a Max head for more forgiveness and a draw bias
  • Previous-generation Qi35 drivers are now discounted if budget matters

Important considerations

  • Retailers describe the core Qi4D as lower-to-mid spin for lower-to-mid handicaps — higher handicaps should look at the Max
  • Left-handed lofts for the LS and Max Lite are unconfirmed — check before ordering
Check Price — retailer link coming soon Retailer: Retailer link coming soon

Our take

TaylorMade’s 2026 driver is listed in left-handed 9°, 10.5° and 12° — only the 8° is right-handed only. Retailers describe the core head as lower-to-mid spin, so higher handicappers may be better served by the Qi4D Max, which retailers list in the same left-handed lofts.

If you’re watching your budget, the previous-generation Qi35 drivers are now discounted and were also made in left-handed.

Left-handed availability

Callaway lists the Elyte MAX Fast in left-handed 10.5° and 12°. There is no 9° head. The women’s version is offered in the same left-handed lofts.

Last checked October 2026.

Why we like it

  • Left-handed 12° is available here, unlike the standard Elyte
  • Lightweight build aimed at moderate swing speeds
  • Women’s left-handed version listed in the same lofts

Important considerations

  • No 9° option, so faster swingers should look at the standard Elyte
  • We couldn’t confirm the manufacturer list price — compare retailers
Check Price — retailer link coming soon Retailer: Retailer link coming soon

Our take

The MAX Fast is the Elyte for golfers with slower or moderate swing speeds. Its lightweight build is the main point, but for lefties the useful detail is loft: it comes in left-handed 10.5° and 12°, where the standard Elyte stops at 10.5°.

Left-handed availability

Left-handed 9° and 10.5° are confirmed through retailer listings. The model was also made in 12°, but we couldn’t confirm a left-handed 12°. A draw-biased MAX D version is also sold left-handed.

Last checked October 2026.

Why we like it

  • Previous-generation pricing: launched around $600, about $400 at retailers we checked
  • Left-handed MAX D (draw) version exists for slicers
  • Good used-market candidate as lefties upgrade to newer models

Important considerations

  • Being phased out — new left-handed stock may run thin
  • Left-handed 12° unconfirmed
Check Price — retailer link coming soon Retailer: Retailer link coming soon

Our take

As a 2024 model, the Paradym Ai Smoke MAX now sells well below its launch price. Left-handed 9° and 10.5° are confirmed, and a draw-biased MAX D version is also made in lefty. Being a previous-generation model, new left-handed stock may run out — the used market is worth checking.

Buying Guide

Loft is where left-handed options shrink

The most common gap for lefties is loft. Several drivers in this guide skip either the lowest or highest loft in left-handed — the standard Callaway Elyte has no lefty 12°, the Qi4D has no lefty 8°, and the Elyte MAX Fast has no 9° at all. Decide on your loft first, then shortlist the drivers that actually come in it.

Forgiveness vs. low spin

Forgiving “MAX” or “K”-type heads are designed to be more stable on mishits. Lower-spin heads tend to suit faster, more consistent swings. Most families offer both — check that the version you want is made left-handed, not just the family.

Adjustable hosels and weights on a left-handed driver

Adjustable hosels and movable weights can make up for fewer stock options, letting you fine-tune loft and face angle. Settings on a left-handed head are mirrored, so use the manufacturer’s left-handed adjustment chart rather than a right-handed guide.

Shafts and length

Driver shafts are the same for both hands, but the range of stock shafts offered on left-handed builds can be narrower. If you need a specific flex or weight, check it’s available in the left-handed build or ask about a custom order.

Before you order: a left-handed checklist

  • Your loft is listed in left-handed for that exact head (e.g. Elyte vs. Elyte MAX Fast).
  • The shaft flex and weight you need are offered on the left-handed build.
  • You’re buying the version you want — MAX, LS, X, K, HL and similar suffixes are different heads.
  • Whether it ships from stock or is custom-built, and the lead time.
  • If buying used, that the head, shaft and adapter are all left-handed.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best left-handed driver?

It depends on what you need. Of the drivers we could confirm in left-handed, the PING G440 K is the most forgiving-focused option with the widest lefty loft range; the Callaway Elyte is a strong mainstream choice in 9° or 10.5°.

Why can’t I find a left-handed driver in 12°?

Some manufacturers don’t make every loft in left-handed. The standard Callaway Elyte, for example, is right-handed only in 12°. The PING G440 K, TaylorMade Qi4D and Callaway Elyte MAX Fast are all listed in left-handed 12°.

Can I use a right-handed driver if I’m left-handed?

Only if you play golf right-handed. A right-handed driver used from the left side would have the face pointing the wrong way.

Do left-handed drivers have the same adjustability?

Generally, yes — but the settings are mirrored. Use the manufacturer’s left-handed adjustment chart to find draw, fade and loft settings.

Is a previous-generation left-handed driver a good buy?

Often. Previous-generation drivers, like the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke MAX or TaylorMade Qi35, usually sell below launch price. The risk is that new left-handed stock runs out first, so act sooner or check the used market.

The Bottom Line

Choose your loft first, then pick from the left-handed drivers that actually come in it. The PING G440 K covers all three mainstream lofts in lefty, the Callaway Elyte is an easy mainstream choice in 9° or 10.5°, and the Elyte MAX Fast fills the 12° gap for moderate swing speeds.
